Dog walking

A bored dog can be a destructive or noisy dog, so increase your dog's well being by scheduling a daily walk where he/she can sniff, explore and burn off excess energy. When you arrive home in the evening you will be rewarded with a happy, content dog.

Castle Home Dog Walking service caters for all breeds of dogs. Your dog/s will be taken for a walk around your area for either half an hour or a full hour. They will remain on their lead for the entire time so that full control can be maintained. (Your dog/s will only be taken off lead if we are comfortable doing so and have your approval in writing.) The pace of the walk will be chosen to accommodate your dog's breed and fitness level. Dogs are always on lead around roads.

Special rates are available for regular dog walks which include a poop scoop of your yard. Walking time may occasionally be affected by circumstances beyond our control i.e. extreme temperatures, storms, un-cooperative/aggressive dogs etc. Situations such as these may result in shortened/cancelled walks. Cancellations beyond our control will not be refunded.

Pet minding

Castle Home Pet Minding Service is a great alternative to boarding when you are away from your home and furry family. Your pet will be happier and less stressed due to being comfortable in its own familiar environment. Pets that don’t travel well will also be much happier. We also have experience looking after horses so you can leave them in our capable hands. (Miriam has completed a Basic Horse Management Skills course.)

Your pets receive their customary diet, medication and their exercise routine is maintained. We will also collect your mail (and junk mail!), water plants (in line with any water restrictions), put out garbage bins and attend to any other requests you may have (including backyard poop-scoop). Your house then has that lived in look.

All of our services are specifically designed to meet the individual needs of our clients and their pets.

Prior to your absence we will come and meet with you and your pets to discuss your pets’ specific needs and make a detailed profile for what is required when we visit. This is also a great time for you to get to know us better and ask any questions that you may have.

House sitting

Castle Home House Sitting Service provides a house sitting option to those who want to have someone stay overnight at their home whilst they are away. This is a personal, professional service where the trust placed in the house sitter is understood and greatly valued.

All the regular features of daily visits are incorporated including dog walks and other areas which can be discussed during the introductory visit. Special rates are available for lengthy house sits.
